Welcome to Turbinen, a stone oven bakery and café beautifully nestled on Turbinhus Island in the heart of Tidaholm. Surrounded by the gentle flow of the Tidan River and charming historic forge cottages, this is a place where culinary craftsmanship meets local heritage – and every visit feels like a special retreat.
Handcrafted with Heart
Everything at Turbinen is made from scratch: sourdough bread, cinnamon buns, cookies, and cakes are baked with carefully selected ingredients and lots of love. You’ll also find hearty offerings like savoury pies, fresh salads, and stone oven pizzas. On weekends, indulge in their afternoon tea with scones, finger sandwiches, and delightful sweets.
The Coffee Cottage – Ice Cream, Waffles & Nostalgia
Just steps away, you’ll find the Kaffestugan (Coffee Cottage), located in a preserved 19th-century blacksmith’s house. It serves over 30 types of ice cream, homemade cones, freshly baked waffles, and classic Swedish treats. Perfect for families, ice cream lovers, or anyone looking to relax in a scenic spot.
Events & Atmosphere
Turbinen is a lively gathering place – throughout the year, it hosts everything from quiz nights to waffle buffets. The picturesque surroundings also make it a unique venue for weddings, christenings, corporate events, and private celebrations.
